The course will equip delegates with the following:
- Explain the global food loss and waste challenge, the targets of UN SDG 12.3, and the requirements of FSSC 22000 Additional Requirement 2.5.16.
- Identify and categorise sources of food loss and packaging waste across the food manufacturing process.
- Apply a structured step-by-step methodology to measure, analyse, prioritise and reduce waste within a food factory.
- Evaluate packaging design decisions using sustainable packaging principles to minimise food and packaging waste throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop practical waste reduction action plans aligned with the Food Recovery and Waste Hierarchy and organisational sustainability objectives.
