Workshop Overview

Internal audits don’t have to be dull or intimidating—they’re actually the heartbeat of a strong management system. This workshop gives you the know-how to run food safety and quality management system audits with confidence and purpose.

Through practical examples, hands-on activities, and roleplay, you’ll not only get the technical side of auditing down, but also learn how your attitude, behaviour, and people skills can make or break an audit. By the end, you’ll see auditing as a process that adds value—not paperwork.

Learning is made fun & practical

At Progress Excellence, we do training a little differently. Whether it’s food safety, quality, health and safety, environmental, or laboratory systems – we make sure it’s practical, relevant, and easy to put into action.

  • We use real, sector-specific examples so the content actually makes sense in your world. Our sessions are interactive and hands-on, with activities that help turn theory into something you can apply straight away.

  • Plus, we share ready-to-use templates and implementation plans to make your job easier. Our goal? To give you the skills and confidence to not just understand the requirements, but to actually apply them and improve your systems in a meaningful way.

The Progress Excellence Approach

We keep it real and interactive. Here’s how:
✨ Linking auditing to ISO 19011:2018 guidelines in a clear, practical way.
✨ Showing how your behaviour directly shapes the outcome of an audit.
✨ Using roleplays to walk you through the full audit cycle—planning, performing, and reporting.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be ready to:
✔ Explain how internal audits fit into the PDCA cycle and food safety management systems (ISO 22000).
✔ Plan, conduct, report, and follow-up on audits in line with ISO 19011.
✔ Tackle both internal and supplier audits with confidence.
✔ Understand audit criteria, principles, and their real impact.
✔ Show up as an auditor with the right conduct and mindset.
✔ Build and manage an internal or supplier audit programme.
✔ Prepare effective audit plans that set you up for success.
✔ Collect audit evidence using the right methods.
✔ Report non-conformances clearly and constructively.
✔ Assess corrective actions for adequacy.
